San Antonio Charity Laps is doing it again.
That’s right folks, The Gladiator Rock ‘N Run gave us a bit of a beating, but we loved it and raised over $1100 for Soldiers’ Angels, and as promised, 100% of the funds collected went straight to them.
Now we are headed back to where it all began, ThunderDash, and this time, it’s personal.
Our friend Daniel Yarter was diagnosed with testicular cancer on July 9, 2015. He had surgery on July 14. The cancer has already spread to his lymph nodes & he started chemo on August 10. The chemo will be 3-4 rounds and will take approximately 9-12 weeks.
You can read the whole story on his lovely wife Chandra’s Blog: www.chandrascollection.com/personal/our-life-lately-hope/
It is an unfortunate truth that life still happens while you’re on sick leave. The treatments Daniel is undergoing leave him unable to work, and the medical bills are mounting in addition to the simple cost of living. A gofundme.com account has been started to help this wonderful family continue to live while traveling Daniel’s Road To Recovery
Please help San Antonio Charity Laps help them.
As we previously did, we will be offering two ways to pledge:
1- Visit the Gofund me Account (www.gofundme.com/h9a28ha2ak) to make a flat donation to help support Daniel’s Road To Recovery-let him know we sent ya and wish him well!
2-DRIVE US TO PUSH OUR LIMITS and pledge to donate $$ per lap
Those offering pledges and donations will be able to choose to be recognized publicly (via social media), or remain anonymous. We will let the world know how we crushed it as soon as the race has closed and kicked us off the course.
